Interested in ADHD Assessment?
At Bridge to Bridge Psychotherapy Group we offer “limited scope” ADHD evaluations to youth and adults. These Limited Scope Assessments are appropriate for situations in which there is a question around ADHD but no concern for a learning disorder (e.g. dyslexia) - we do not assess for learning disorders.
As part of the assessment process we can provide a full report, including basic relevant personal history, a narrative summary of the relevant records, results of the test battery (and appendices with these at the end), diagnostic conclusions, and an extensive recommendations section. We have found, anecdotally, that both psychiatrists and schools appreciate this type of thorough report. That said, if a full report is not required, we can provide a detailed diagnostic letter that can be shared with any relevant parties. We also will facilitate helping obtain accommodations in whatever setting they are needed (e.g., participating in an IEP meeting, if desired).
If there are any indications of additional concerns that might warrant a full psychological or neuropsychological assessment we will make that recommendation in the report and during the feedback session. In cases where further testing is warranted, the ADHD piece we have completed can be integrated into a more comprehensive report and we would be happy to collaborate with outside clinicians on determining the appropriate scope of additional testing.
The cost of a limited scope ADHD assessment ranges from $1,500 to $3,500. Multiple variables may affect the final cost, including whether or not a full report is required and whether or not supplementary data collection (e.g. a classroom observation) is necessary.
For a child/adolescent, this would typically include the following:
Clinical interviews with patient, parents and teachers
Clinical questionnaires completed by all parties above
Review of available academic and other testing records
Classroom observation (if appropriate)
Summary report and/or diagnostic verification letter, which includes recommendations and resources
For an adult, this would typically include the following:
Clinical interviews with patient and collateral informant (spouse/partner, parent, roommate, etc)
Clinical questionnaires completed by all parties above
Review of available academic and other testing records
Summary report and/or diagnostic verification letter, which includes recommendations and resources
