I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and questions of identity, as well as couples working on communication, trust repair, and significant changes.
My approach to psychotherapy is relational psychodynamic, and I draw on practical interventions like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you build self-awareness and achieve specific goals. My primary aim is to create a trusting space where you feel safe to understand yourself more fully. My style is warm, compassionate, and genuinely curious, and I stay flexible to tailor our work based on your needs and personality. Together, we work through what brings you to therapy, helping you to develop a deeper understanding of underlying patterns while also learning useful skills to make meaningful changes.
My clinical training spans community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, and substance use treatment settings. At Adventist Health, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, I provided individual and group psychotherapy to patients across the lifespan and conducted diagnostic psychological testing with children and adolescents ages six through 17. In community mental health settings, I have provided psychotherapy to individuals and couples navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I also received specialized training in substance use treatment through the Wright Institute Recovery Clinic and Option Recovery Services. I obtained my B.A. in Psychology at Colgate University in New York, and I am getting my doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) at The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA.
Prior to training as a psychologist, I spent a decade working in marketing, which gave me firsthand insight into perfectionism, burnout, and the way work and achievement can become a significant source of stress. Both my business and clinical experiences shape how I work with people navigating pressure and uncertainty––whether it shows up at work, in school, or in a relationship––and I'm here to help you build a life that feels genuinely fulfilling.
